Wee World Cultural Curriculum
Mission & Values Behind Each Pillar
Language & Literacy
Mission:
To empower children with the ability to communicate, express themselves, and understand others across languages and cultures.
Value:
We believe language is the foundation of connection. By nurturing literacy in multiple languages, we give children the tools to share ideas, build relationships, and develop confidence in their voices—while learning to listen with respect and empathy.
Geography
Mission:
To help children understand the world as a shared home and recognize their place within it.
Value:
Through geography, children learn that the world is vast, diverse, and interconnected. By discovering where people live, how environments differ, and how borders connect rather than divide us, children develop curiosity, respect, and global awareness.
History
Mission:
To help children understand how the world has evolved and inspire them to see themselves as the future creators of tomorrow.
Value:
History teaches children that the world they live in was shaped by choices, actions, and values. By learning how people lived before us, children begin to understand that the future is now in their hands—and that their choices matter.
Traditional Music & Dance
Mission:
To ignite a love for diverse cultures through joyful expression, rhythm, and movement.
Value:
Music and dance create emotional memories that last a lifetime. By experiencing the sounds and movements of different cultures, children expand their horizons, build appreciation for diversity, and form meaningful, joyful connections to the world around them.
Ethnicities & Cultural Clothing
Mission:
To help children recognize the beauty of human diversity while understanding that all people share the same basic needs, hopes, and dreams.
Value:
By exploring ethnicities and cultural clothing, children learn that while we may look different, we are all one human family. This pillar nurtures empathy, inclusion, and the belief that kindness, safety, love, and belonging are universal.
Landmarks
Mission:
To help children appreciate the achievements, stories, and symbols that shape cultures and communities around the world.
Value:
Landmarks represent shared history, creativity, and resilience. By learning about them, children develop pride in cultural accomplishments and curiosity about how communities express identity through architecture and space.
Influential Figures
Mission:
To introduce children to meaningful role models who inspire pride, purpose, and possibility.
Value:
By learning about influential figures from their own and other cultures, children see reflections of themselves as capable, valuable, and impactful. This pillar builds self-esteem, motivation, and respect for those who shaped the world with wisdom, courage, and compassion.
Traditional Dishes
Mission:
To use food as a bridge for cultural understanding, connection, and shared experience.
Value:
Food brings people together. By learning about traditional dishes, children connect culture to family, celebration, and care. This pillar encourages curiosity, sensory exploration, and appreciation for how nourishment and love are expressed across cultures.
Art
Mission:
To nurture creativity as a universal language of expression, identity, and emotion.
Value:
Art allows children to express who they are and how they see the world. Through exploring cultural art forms, children learn that creativity exists in every culture and that self-expression is both powerful and deeply human.
